On Tuesday morning, 10/20 an employee at GT Norman reported a positive Covid-19 test result. The employee had close contact with numerous classrooms, staff members, and administration on Monday, 10/19. With buses arriving at school, the decision was made to cancel in-person instruction to conduct contact tracing and communicate with the Central Michigan Health Department concerning appropriate next steps. Buses began returning students to home at 8:20 am. No student will be dropped off without appropriate supervision being present. Currently, interviews are occurring with staff members to determine definitive close contact lists. Individuals determined to be close contacts will receive communication from school staff.
